At the time of this
release, localized versions have been tested on English with language for
non-Unicode programs set to the corresponding language, except for Japanese,
German, French, and Spanish, which were tested on localized versions of
Vista. |
Post 1.6 |
N/A |
The upgrade scenario from
XP MCE to Vista is only possible from a fully localized XP MCE SKU (available
for Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese) to
the corresponding localized Vista SKU. At the time of this release, this upgrade
scenario has been tested for Japanese, German, and French. |
Post 1.6 |
2652, 2853 |
When forcing the installation of a specific language on an English version of the operating system by using the /LCID switch (for example when running "setup_viiv.exe /L2052" to install Simplified Chinese), some strings might present different degrees of corruption. Workaround: Set the language to non-Unicode programs in the Language and Regional Options to match the language being installed. This will ensure that proper code page support is available for the non-Unicode components of the Intel Viiv software. |
Post 1.6 |
3287 |
The text of some alert
messages might be displayed in the "Messages" on 2 lines, pushing
eventual scrolling buttons down behind the MCE navigation buttons, when more
than 5 messages are displayed. The scrolling buttons, if overlapping with the
MCE navigation buttons, are then no longer accessible when using a mouse. |
