HWR_SAS_Driver_NetWare_LSI DEFECTS
DFCT ID: LSID100126504
Headline: Netware 6.5 sp7/Driver 1.12/Getting Abends upon running DTS
Description: Created 8 VDs, and did a scan all in order to see all the VDs created.
I then partitioned and formated the VD's through NSSMU.
I started DTS /i /h /g.
The system abended right away. I tried this again with just 64kb stripe 8 R1 arrays.
And the machine just rebooted. When the system came up again, the system abended loading the driver.
In order to get back into the system, I had to delete the 8VDs in WebBIOS, then the system will boot up.
Version of Bug Reported: 1.12
Version of Bug Fixed: 1.13
Steps to Reproduce: Create 8 arrays as follow:
Create 2xR1 with 8k stripe
Create 2xR1 with 16k stripe
Create 2xR1 with 32k stripe
Create 2xR1 with 64k stripe
Partition and format with NSSMU. I cannot use GUI, ,since my mouse does not work.
Started DTS /i /h /g
System will Abend
Resolution: Fixed
Resolution Description: Abend issue has been fixed
Suggested Testing: same as steps to reproduce.
When there are more than 3 VDs mounted for running i/o, netware will unmount some volumes
because of resource limitation in skinny.
