7. Troubleshooting
- If you experience difficulty getting
started, refer to the Help, manual, or the Important Information for information.
- To update information for your
operation system, it is recommended to refresh disc by clicking Show Disc Details
from time to time after burning, erasing, or formatting disc.
- If you encounter the message "Drive
Not Ready" after video/audio multiplexing during disc burning, try to create
a DVD disc image first, then burn the disc image to your disc.
- If you have other DVD data burning
applications installed on your computer, and found problems in completing disc
burning, try to close or uninstall other DVD data burning applications.
- While using Edit Disc, Copy Disc,
and Copy Movie, if you have problems in reading the source disc from a disc drive,
contact the disc drive vender and update the drive firmware to the latest version.
- If you want to read files from
a device that is currently doing formatting or erasing task, sometimes it may
take longer to complete the task. It is recommended to do other tasks after formatting
or erasing is complete.
- Microsoft Vista supports UDF 2.5
and UDF 2.6.
- In Windows XP, the file format
that can be supported is only up to UDF 2.0. If your file format is above this,
you will need to install other UDF file system drivers to read the data.
- You can increase the virtual memory
on your computer if you need to improve the performance in converting files.
- At the time of publication, on
Windows Vista or XP, only the first session can be read from a multi-session DVD
with more than 4GB data. Please install the latest patches from Microsoft to update
your Windows system.
- When using an AMD64 computer,
upgrade the IDE driver to the latest version if disc burning is not stable.
